This artworks are also result of my journey into abstract and expressionistic Avant-garde and attempts to transform reality into visual shapes and forms, to make new interpretations of ordinary things, to blurring the line between photography and the art movements of the early 20th century. I was impressed by the legendary trip of Paul Klee to Tunisia brilliantly described by Klee himself in his diary (“The colour possesses me. There is no need to try to grasp it. It possesses me. Here is the meaning of this happy moment: the colour and I are one. I am a painter.”) and tried to find something harmonic, colorful and interesting on the streets of lovely Old Tbilisi, Georgia aside from tourist routes.
I’m very excited to have this artworks included in the upcoming "Forward the tradition" exhibition in great contemporary photography gallery PH21 Gallery (Budapest, Hungary) as well as to receive a honorable mention from juror!
